Job summary

Weightlifting Wales is seeking a Project Oral Historian / Heritage Officer to lead a two-year National Lottery Heritage Fund project capturing the living history of Weightlifting in Wales.

You will work with former athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, clubs and communities across Wales to record oral histories, identify and digitise heritage material and help create a lasting digital archive.

Qualifications

• Experience in recording oral histories and managing heritage projects.
• Ability to engage with communities, volunteers, and partners across Wales.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute oral history interviews with former athletes, coaches and officials.
• Identify, digitise and curate heritage materials for a digital archive.
• Collaborate with clubs, volunteers and communities to deliver the two-year project.
