Job summary

ISR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the national surveillance reporting database project for a UK central government client. The role is remote with a 3-month initial contract and Outside-IR35 conditions.

You will manage backlogs, roadmaps, requirements, balance stakeholder demands, and coordinate with architects, delivery managers and researchers to deliver secure, compliant digital services.

Qualifications

• Proven product management experience, ideally within UK central government or public sector digital services.
• Experience managing backlogs, roadmaps, requirements and prioritisation.
• Ability to balance user needs, technical considerations, operational risks and stakeholder demands.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including architects, delivery managers and user researchers.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate requirements into a single structured product backlog.
• Develop and maintain a prioritised roadmap aligned with user needs and service objectives.
• Refine requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies and delivery ownership.
• Work with technical and delivery teams to address technical debt, risks and delivery dependencies.
• Support product governance, ownership models, decision-making and escalation routes.
• Incorporate user research and feedback into product priorities.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and maintain product communications, release updates.
