Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Product Manager to lead strategy, delivery, and ongoing oversight of a custom product within the OCC portfolio. The role ensures alignment of goals, stakeholder needs, and technical execution to support mission-critical outcomes for the program.

This position is fully remote within the United States, reporting to a Program Manager and guiding cross-functional teams through agile development and vendor collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2–5 years of experience preferred or commensurate experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager overseeing custom software development projects.
• Strong ability to define product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and leading cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management for enterprise or mission-critical systems.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor/contractor teams and evaluating delivery against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products.
• Lead a multidisciplinary project team and manage schedules and budgets.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and quality to meet objectives.
• Develop monitoring mechanisms and drive problem solving with teams.
• Oversee vendor tasks and review deliverables for quality.
