Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join a market leading engineering consultancy. This role supports high-hazard industries and offers fully remote working or flexible hybrid working, with a salary up to £100,000 DOE and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will lead risk management projects from inception to completion, guide clients through COMAH, DSEAR, and ISO requirements, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and help shape the risk and compliance function while

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead risk management projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK safety regulations and COMAH, DSEAR, and ISO requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver risk-based projects across high-hazard sectors.
• Carry out risk assessments such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, FMEA.
• Develop COMAH safe reports and perform QRA/OBRA/ALARP analyses.
• Provide expert input on functional and consequence modelling.
• Drive safety management system development and improvement.
• Mentor junior consultants and grow the risk team.
• Cultivate long-term client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
