Job summary

Ikigai Digital Limited is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and manage automated, cloud‑native infrastructure and pipelines. You’ll drive autonomous development, observability, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes security as code, scalable architectures, and proactive problem solving in a remote-first startup environment with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• You know best practices for building automated platforms. You have a belief in full automation, IaC and measuring key performance indicators.
• You understand standards and controls for delivering software in regulated environments.
• Promoting and implementing security as code should be second nature.
• You have a strong understanding of cloud native technologies and prior experience in building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.
• You’re a self-starter, capable of working without direction and able to deliver projects from scratch.
• You know IaC cloud build and management tools.
• You can present and communicate ideas with both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Builds and manages modern, automated, cloud native, continuously delivered infrastructure and application pipelines.
• Fosters a culture of development and architecture that supports iterative, autonomous development and scaling.
• Helps create and extend observability across teams and uses operational data to improve stability and performance.
• Anticipates blockers, delays and cost ballooning and clarifies expectations with stakeholders.
• Discusses improvements to practices and processes and drives implementation.
• Collaborates with others and takes ownership of decisions.
• Provides clear documentation for actions, decisions, and knowledge transfer.
• Recognises product opportunities and differentiators in relation to the competition.
