Job summary

Animal Free Research UK is seeking a part-time Philanthropy Manager to secure and grow income from trusts, foundations and major donors in a flexible 14-hour week. The role supports our mission to accelerate animal-free medical research and requires established fundraising expertise and strong donor relationships.

You’ll manage renewals, prepare compelling bids, and build a targeted philanthropy plan. Remote working, with UK travel, offers a balanced schedule around commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing trusts, foundations and/or major donors with income targets.
• Strong relationship building with diverse stakeholders.
• Budget management experience.
• Understanding UK philanthropy through charity work.
• Excellent written bids and materials creation.
• Ability to interpret project plans, budgets and data and present persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Secure and grow income from trusts, foundations and major donors to support our work.
• Manage trust and foundation relationships, prepare funding applications and renewals.
• Ensure grant conditions and reporting are met.
• Develop compelling proposals to support income growth.
• Manage fundraising pipeline and donor stewardship; monitor income targets.
• Maintain donor and funder records in Donorfy.
