Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking an experienced Senior Philanthropy Manager for trusts and foundations to join our Philanthropy team in London. This 12-month fixed-term role focuses on cultivating major donors and leading a small team to grow income.

The post is based at Stratford, with 1-2 office days weekly, some travel, and a competitive benefits package. You will manage a portfolio with 5-6 figure gifts and shape donor engagement strategies.

Qualifications

Experience of securing gifts from trusts and foundations at a 5-6 figure level.
Proven ability to build long-term relationships with trust and foundation supporters.
Experience in driving new business through donor engagement and meetings.

Responsibilities

Drive prospect and donor activity with UK and international trusts and foundations.
Manage cultivation and stewardship programs to move prospects through the portfolio.
Maximise gift opportunities to meet targets within the philanthropy directorate.
Oversee mailing programmes to grow income from lower-level supporters.
Manage relationships with intermediaries and drive new prospects and income.
Line manage the Trusts and Foundations team members and support their development.
