Job summary

Illingworth Research Group is seeking a Per Diem Research Nurse (Adult) to support Birmingham-based clinical trials. The role involves independent trial coordination, data documentation, and close collaboration with the RN team to ensure SOP compliance and patient safety.

The successful candidate will hold an RN with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, a GCP certificate, and familiarity with Venepuncture and ECG.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience.
• GCP certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of research design and methodology is desirable.
• Experience in clinical nursing skills such as Venepuncture and ECG preferable.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fully conversant with trial protocols, CRFs/eCRFs and SOPs to enable day-to-day running of the trial.
• Communicate with RN project manager, site staff and PI to ensure smooth information flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data transfer in line with SOPs and data protection requirements.
• Attend Site Initiation Visits and client-facing meetings as required.
• Coordinate patient visits on- and off-site and ensure procedures are completed per protocol.
• Administer trial medication and ensure storage and accountability per SOPs.
• Assist in identifying eligible patients and support recruitment into trials.
• Report adverse events (AEs) and SAEs/SUSARs to the site team and RNPM.
