Job summary

IPS Group Limited in Leeds seeks an experienced Payroll Manager to run a standalone payroll function. You will manage a 300+ client payroll portfolio, processing weekly, monthly and quarterly payrolls, including director payrolls, and handle all aspects from starters to year-end submissions.

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll legislation and Sage Payroll, with high attention to accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing payroll independently, ideally within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments.
• Confident managing a high-volume, varied payroll portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 300+ payrolls for varied clients.
• Process weekly, monthly and quarterly payrolls including director payrolls.
• Own the full payroll cycle from processing to final submissions.
• Handle starters, leavers, statutory payments and amendments.
• Manage PAYE, RTI, auto-enrolment pensions and HMRC queries.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing within deadlines.
• Be the main point of contact for client payroll queries.
