Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll processes remotely across the UK. You will oversee payroll calculations, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and maintain accurate records to ensure employees are paid on time.

The role requires 3+ years in payroll processing, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Sage VIP or PaySpace. A remote-first setup supports flexible working across Randburg and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR.
• 3+ years of payroll processing and accounting experience.
• Proficiency with payroll software (Sage VIP, PaySpace) and payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and timely filings.
• Manage employee data including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
• Calculate and process deductions for benefits, garnishments, and other items.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Generate payroll reports for management and relevant departments.
