Job summary

FD Recruit is seeking a Part-Time Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership at board level for a private group operating across property, hospitality and services. The role is remote with occasional meetings in London and Northampton, with day-to-day accounting outsourced.

You will sit on the Board, oversee forecasting, budgeting, cash flow and statutory accounts, and manage banking relationships, tax and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience as Finance Director or senior finance leader.
• Experience in owner-managed, SME or entrepreneurial groups.
• Strong IFRS and tax knowledge.
• Experience managing banking relationships and funding.

Responsibilities

• Sit on the Board as principal financial adviser to directors and shareholders.
• Oversee management accounts, KPI reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Own statutory and consolidated accounts and lead the annual audit.
• Manage banking relationships, covenants and funding options.
• Oversee tax, regulatory compliance and internal controls.
• Evaluate investments, acquisitions, disposals and capital projects.
• Support commercial performance of the group's businesses.
• Set standards for, and hold to account, the outsourced finance team.
