Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: HNC or relevant experience in chemical processing.
• Experience in control room operations using DCS interfaces.
• Knowledge of P&ID and PFD.

Job Description:

What you will enjoy doing

• Be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and monitoring of our plants on a 24-hour basis.
• Investigate plant issues, manage plant disturbances, report performance issues, monitor KPIs, and handle alarm management.
• Manage plant start-up situations to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
• Conduct plant efficiency evaluations to identify issues and recommend improvements.
• Operate plants to minimize process safety implications and uphold key metrics.

What makes you great

• Minimum qualification: HNC in electrical, instrumentation, chemical engineering/process, or extensive relevant experience in a chemical processing environment, preferably involving distillation.
• Experience in control room operations using process DCS interfaces such as HMI software (SCADA/PCS7 Siemens).
• Knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
• Self-starter with adaptability, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to challenge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Integrity and commitment to a safe, inclusive work environment.
• Plant commissioning or oil/gas/chemical process experience is advantageous.
