Job summary

LRQA seeks a Nuclear Equipment Surveyor for a predominantly home-based role, with required UK site visits and overseas travel as needed. The role combines administrative oversight with technical inspection duties to ensure conformity with international codes and client specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, materials and NDT, and be comfortable working remotely while delivering clear findings to manufacturers and clients.

Qualifications

• Technical skills include welding, materials, heat treatment and NDT.
• Ability to use and understand international standards such as ASME and BS EN ISO series.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures and inspection plans to establish conformity with international codes and standards.
• Conduct inspections on site.
• Create and issue inspection deliverables.
• Supervise on-site inspectors and communicate findings to the end customer.
• Attend online and offline meetings and carry out periodic site visits in the UK and Europe.
