Job summary

LRQA is seeking an experienced engineer to assess the design, manufacture and in-service aspects of engineering assets against Codes, Standards and procedures. You will produce deliverables and discuss them with clients, evaluating alternative solutions where appropriate.

The role requires site experience, ability to travel across the UK, and adherence to safety, accreditation schemes and industry regulations. CPD and knowledge-sharing form a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering from a recognised university.
• Sufficient experience to show awareness of specialist requirements and application.
• Site experience in power stations and experience writing schemes of work.

Responsibilities

• Assess design, manufacture and in-service aspects against Codes, Standards and procedures.
• Produce deliverables within defined parameters and formats.
• Present deliverables to clients and assess alternative solutions.
• Undertake routine administration as per procedures.
• Assess project value and issue quotations within fee structures and terms.
• Pursue CPD and maintain discipline knowledge.
• Adhere to accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and share knowledge.
• Assist service delivery improvements via client feedback.
• Maintain safety by following health and safety rules and reporting incidents.
• Travel to locations across the UK as required.
