Job summary

Chemify is seeking an Analysis Review Scientist to interpret 1H-NMR and UPLC-MS data from our automated platform, deciding if reactions meet expected outcomes. This is a computer-based role reviewing digital spectra and analytical results.

Initial onsite training will occur in Glasgow, after which the role can be performed remotely with onsite flexibility. Seventh-day operations require rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Discovery, or related field.
• Experience interpreting 1H-NMR and UPLC-MS data.
• Ability to evaluate spectral data and identify unexpected results.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 1H-NMR spectra and UPLC-MS results to assess reaction success.
• Review 35–45 analytical work orders per shift with high accuracy.
• Make independent scientific decisions on reaction outcomes.
• Collaborate with synthetic chemists, operations managers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in digital systems.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest analytical workflow improvements.
• Work with rotating shift schedule seven days a week.
