Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training) to stress-test advanced AI models from a mechanical engineering perspective. You will design challenging problems in FEA, thermodynamics, and materials, author rigorous step-by-step solutions, and audit AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy and safety compliance.

Remote, hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week. Masters or PhD preferred; experience in CAD/CA M tools and standards-oriented evaluation is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of core areas: solid/fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate complex physical phenomena and reasoning clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging problems spanning FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, materials, and mechatronics to test AI reasoning.
• Author ground-truth solutions with rigorous, step-by-step technical explanations.
• Audit AI outputs for technical accuracy, safety compliance, and adherence to ASME/ISO standards.
• Refine AI reasoning by identifying errors and providing structured feedback to improve model performance.
