Jobgether seeks a Mechanical Engineering Expert (MSc or PhD) for a fully remote, independent contractor role based in the United Kingdom. The project focuses on AI training in engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, and multiphysics problem-solving.

You will translate requirements into analytical and computational models, develop meshes, configure solver inputs, and validate results across structural and thermal domains, using AI coding agents to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and ability to apply to complex problems.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based solutions.
• Understanding of simulation workflows and technical validation.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, and R&D.
• Translate physical requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Develop, modify, and evaluate engineering geometry and meshes for simulation tasks.
• Configure materials, loads, boundaries, contacts, and solver inputs.
• Conduct simulations across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains.
• Evaluate results and ensure models comply with physical laws and design constraints.
• Create and refine engineering tasks to support AI training and evaluation.
• Apply coding-intensive workflows to automate engineering processes.
• Use AI coding agents to support implementation and validation.
• Identify errors and propose corrections based on engineering judgment.
