Job summary

Scale is seeking a Machine Learning Fellow for the Human Frontier Collective, a fully remote, independent contractor six-month opportunity. Ideal candidates hold a PhD or postdoc in CS/CE and have 1–3+ years as ML engineers or data scientists.

Qualifications

• PhD or postdoctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and MLOps tools is a plus.

• Apply expertise to design, evaluate, and interpret advanced generative AI systems.
