Venn Group is seeking a Locum Information Governance Officer for a fully remote, full-time role within a Local Authority. The position focuses on managing FOI and EIR requests, ensuring statutory response times, and providing expert data protection guidance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Information Governance within a public sector context.
• Strong knowledge of Data Protection legislation, FOI and SAR processes.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and provide practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate FOI and EIR requests within statutory timescales.
• Liaise with departments and service managers to obtain information and ensure timely responses.
• Draft, review and issue FOI/EIR responses; apply exemptions where appropriate.
• Monitor outstanding requests and pro-actively manage caseloads.
• Support Senior Officers with wider data protection matters as required.
