A leading educational institution is seeking a Reflection Room Lead to support students in an isolation room, ensuring a safe and structured learning environment. The role requires strong leadership, management, and communication skills to guide pupils effectively and maintain high educational standards. Commitment to ongoing professional development is emphasized as part of the academy's mission.
We are looking for a Reflection Room Lead to support and supervise the day-to-day running of the internal isolation room and coordinate work from relevant subject areas. You will be the sole supervisor of the reflection room, so the ability to work independently is essential.
The Reflection Room Lead will provide high-quality specialist support to help the school maintain its high standards of education and care for pupils working in the reflection room. This involves ensuring an orderly, safe, and structured learning environment for pupils excluded from or not working to a mainstream timetable. Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to challenge and motivate pupils are required.
You will possess excellent leadership, management, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work successfully with young people and their families. You should be aware of some challenges facing young people but hold high aspirations for Co-op North Manchester’s pupils. You will be committed to using strategies that ensure all pupils are given the best opportunities to succeed in all areas of their lives.
You must perform your duties with full regard and commitment to the Academy Community Committee and academy policies.
The job description is not necessarily comprehensive, and you may be required to undertake other tasks appropriate to the level of appointment as the Academy may require.
For disabled postholders, every effort will be made to provide necessary aids, adaptations, or equipment to enable them to carry out all duties. If a task proves unachievable, job redesign will be considered.
Co-op Academy North Manchester offers high-quality CPD and a benefits package. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to ongoing professional development and to support the development of others.
The academy is part of the Co-op Academies Trust, and the successful candidate should be committed to the vision and values of the academy, demonstrating these within their role.
Co-op Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. We value diversity and aim to create an inclusive environment. All colleagues are expected to demonstrate commitment to co-operative values and principles, including the Ways of Being Co-op.
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and encourage applications regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, and marriage or civil partnerships.
