Job summary

Apprentify Group is seeking a Retention Coach to support learners at risk of withdrawal and help them complete their apprenticeship. You will manage your own caseload, use coaching techniques and motivational interviewing, and work with coaches, performance managers and employers to keep learners on track.

The role is remote-first, with delivery teams collaborating across the organisation; DBS is required for all candidates, and crossover with funding/compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching learners in apprenticeship or similar programmes.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with disengaged learners.
• Strong questioning and motivational interviewing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support at‑risk learners to prevent withdrawal and improve progress.
• Conduct structured intervention conversations and agree recovery plans.
• Monitor milestones and ensure funding/compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate learner records and caseload status.
• Collaborate with Coaches, Performance Managers and employer partners.
