Modis is seeking a Java Developer for a fully remote, permanent role in the UK. You will join a collaborative engineering team to build and maintain scalable software solutions and contribute to technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing Java applications.
• Understanding of back-end systems, APIs, and data processing.
• Experience building web-based applications and working with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software components based on business requirements.
• Contribute to technical discussions and support design activities.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code in line with standards.
• Provide 3rd line production support and resolve issues within SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Support deployment, release and integration activities.
• Identify technical risks and elevate concerns when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across development.
