Job summary

Found Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an Interim Raw Material Specifications Technologist for a well-established food manufacturer to support the Product Development team on an initial six-month contract. The role focuses on preparing, reviewing and maintaining specifications for ingredients and raw materials.

After an initial two weeks on-site training, the role can be worked remotely, with occasional site attendance for inductions and systems familiarisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience preparing and maintaining raw material specifications in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of raw material and ingredient technical information and supplier documentation.
• Experience liaising with suppliers to obtain and verify specification data.
• Good knowledge of food legislation and its application to materials.
• Attention to detail with the ability to spot missing or incorrect data.
• Able to manage multiple specifications and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain raw material specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain and clarify specification information.
• Review supplier documents for completeness.
• Maintain accurate data across internal systems and databases.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders.
• Ensure specifications reflect current food legislation and requirements.
• Verify information across multiple data sources.
• Manage multiple specifications and deadlines.

• Support continuous improvement of specification processes.
