Job summary

AZTRUM is seeking a Hydrologist to support flood risk and hydrology projects across the UK. You will estimate floods using FEH, analyse rainfall data, and produce surface water and catchment plans. The role offers remote working and flexible hours, with training on Flood Modeller and Tuflow as needed.

You will join a specialist team delivering hydrological assessments, nutrient neutrality studies and risk mapping, with career development and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in Geography, Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with UK flood estimation, hydrology and flood risk assessments.
• Remote or flexible working arrangements are available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct flood estimation using FEH and rainfall analysis.
• Perform surface water and catchment management planning.
• Analyze data and interpret hydrological information.
• Carry out flood risk assessments and nutrient neutrality studies.
• Undertake hydrological and water quality assessments.
• Develop natural flood management strategies and mapping in ArcGIS.
• Utilise Flood Modeller and Tuflow for hydraulic modelling; training provided.
