Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Hydraulic Design Engineer for a fully remote role based in the UK.

You will own design projects from concept through manufacture, delivering bespoke hydraulic systems for diverse industrial sectors while coordinating with engineering teams across the country. The role suits engineers who enjoy solving complex fluid power challenges and delivering robust, manufacturable designs with strong documentation and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing hydraulic systems and fluid power solutions.
• Strong 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Experience producing manufacturing drawings and bills of materials.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, manifolds and filtration systems.
• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and component sizing.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke hydraulic systems and fluid power solutions for industrial applications.
• Develop hydraulic power units, manifolds, control systems and associated equipment.
• Produce 3D CAD models, assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Generate bills of materials and technical specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations related to hydraulic flow, pressure, power and component sizing.
• Specify hydraulic components and ensure design compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing and commissioning phases.
• Liaise with suppliers, production teams and project managers to deliver projects on time.
