Job summary

Lucy Electric seeks an experienced HV Senior Authorised Person to lead and deliver projects across the UK. The role involves planning outages, safety approvals, RAMS, and coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and utilities while ensuring compliance with Lucy Electric standards.

You will be home-based with site travel, working core hours 07:30–16:00 Mon-Thu and 07:30–12:00 Fri, with overtime possible. A valid SAP authorisation and UK-wide travel are required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in the Electrical and/or distribution industry.
• Holds full SAP Authorisation including sanction for test (UKPN, SSEN, other DNO).
• Certified in electricity at work and able to deliver services on site or in planning stages.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Distribution Safety rules.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Willingness to work weekends/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a range of major projects through to smaller day works.
• Plan outages, produce switching programmes and safety paperwork for HV switching activities.
• Assess safety and apply controls and safety measures required.
• Complete RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports.
• Coordinate site work with engineers, sub-contractors, and utilities companies.
• Maintain Senior Authorised Person competence and ensure adherence to standards.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Lucy Electric policies and procedures.
• Liaise with team to understand and manage priorities.
