Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with HV connections experience for a major DNO framework. Projects cover 33kV to 132kV, with site visits and stakeholder coordination.

The role focuses on technical design, cost estimation, approvals and ensuring compliance with ENA, NERS and Grid Code requirements. A degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a driving license are required.

Qualifications

• HV connections/design experience at 33kV–132kV.
• Knowledge of Electricity Network Regulations and NERS requirements.
• Understanding of DNO/IDNO design standards and scheme approvals.
• Application of ENA Engineering Recommendations and industry standards.
• Understanding Grid Code requirements for protection settings.
• Awareness of HS&E requirements within the electricity industry.
• Understanding CDM Regulations.
• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost 33kV–132kV network projects, including new connections, asset replacement and diversions.
• Analyse network issues and develop robust, cost-effective solutions to improve performance.
• Assess generation connections and raise Witness Testing jobs per requirements.
• Prepare concise business cases for authorisation within deadlines.
• Determine Point of Connection (POC) for load and generation enquiries on HV networks up to 132kV.
• Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support project delivery.
