Job summary

Nearform is a UK-based data & AI engineering partner delivering AI-enabled solutions for enterprises. As a Technical Lead, you will guide development teams, work with clients to translate requirements into impactful applications, and drive architectural decisions for scalable, secure systems.

You will collaborate with distributed teams, uphold DevOps and agile practices, and participate in a multi-project portfolio across the UK, with occasional client site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with clients to understand technical requirements.
• Experience leading software engineering teams through delivery, with or without direct line management.
• Deep understanding of agile practices and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of test-driven development and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with version control tools, especially Git.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Awareness of operational concerns: monitoring, performance, security, accessibility, GDPR.
• Empathy and strong people skills.
• Experience in financial services domain.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and line‑management leadership to the development team.
• Deliver successful project outcomes and manage blockers.
• Uphold best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile practices.
• Work directly with clients to translate requirements into technical briefs.
• Shape architectural decisions for scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide status updates to clients and Nearform leadership.
