Job summary

Pertemps SSDC DDT is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst (FME Specialist) to join a major environmental organisation. You will develop, maintain and optimize geospatial workflows using FME to support woodland programmes.

This remote role (Mainland UK based) offers an hourly rate of £21.53 and a contract until 31 March 2027. You will automate data processing, manage datasets, ensure GDPR compliance and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong GIS experience.
• Proven experience using FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).
• Experience creating automated data workflows.
• Knowledge of environmental and ecological datasets.
• Strong understanding of spatial data management and analysis.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance principles.
• Able to manage complex datasets and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve geospatial workflows using FME.
• Automate data processing, integration and quality assurance activities.
• Manage, analyse and transform complex environmental and ecological datasets.
• Create mapping products, spatial datasets and decision-support tools.
• Work closely with technical specialists and ecological experts to interpret survey data.
• Document workflows and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure data management activities comply with GDPR requirements.
