Job summary

VertiGIS Ltd. is seeking a Senior Geospatial Consultant to join our Professional Services team. You will deliver data transformation, migration, and integration projects across various geospatial environments, leading technical workstreams and engaging directly with customers.

We value forward-thinking individuals who can mentor colleagues, contribute to solution design, and support pre-sales activities. Hybrid work from Cambridge with UK/ Ireland opportunities, and UK SC clearance consideration.

Qualifications

• Degree in GIS/Geospatial Science or related field.
• Experience with spatial databases and data management principles.
• Experience delivering customer-facing consultancy or technical project work.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing within multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of geospatial consultancy projects from discovery through to implementation.
• Design and implement data transformation, migration and integration workflows.
• Build, maintain and optimise FME workspaces and automation processes.
• Deliver geospatial data quality, validation and improvement initiatives.
• Support the implementation and adoption of VertiGIS and third-party geospatial technologies.
• Develop technical documentation, specifications and delivery artefacts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues.
• Contribute to solution design, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support pre-sales activities, workshops and customer demonstrations where required.
