Pearson is seeking a GCSE Music (2016 Specification) Moderator to review centre assessments and sample moderation. The role involves moderating coursework and other school-based components, with no centre visits required, and reporting using Pearson's mark scheme.

The moderation window runs May to July, with an average allocation fee of £500–£800 per period, plus an additional standardisation payment after submitting reports.

Qualifications

• You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years and in the relevant qualification and subject.
• You will have a degree or equivalent
• You will be a qualified teacher

Responsibilities

• To carry out the moderation of parts of a subject examination, such as coursework, projects and special studies, which are marked initially by teachers in the centres and then sent to you.
• To undertake, when necessary, the direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.
