Job summary

Pearson is seeking a GCSE Physical Education (2016 Specification) Moderator to review centre assessments and samples in line with Pearson criteria. Moderation will involve sampling centre work across the marking window.

The role requires one academic year's teaching experience, a degree or equivalent, and qualified teacher status. Training to mark takes place between May and June, with moderation activity from May to July.

Qualifications

• One academic year's teaching experience within the last 8 years in the relevant qualification and subject.
• Degree or equivalent required.
• You will be a qualified teacher.

Responsibilities

• Moderate parts of the subject examination, such as coursework and projects, marked initially by teachers.
• Undertake direct assessment of school-based components when centres opt not to mark.
• Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
