Job summary

Pearson Edexcel is seeking a credible specialist in Computing to support GCSE Computer Science qualifications from Chichester, West Sussex. This ad-hoc role is approx.

two days per month during the academic year and is open only to UK-based candidates residing in the Chichester area. Responsibilities include centre visits via Zoom/phone, guidance on endorsed titles, creating teaching resources for the Pearson website, and attending stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' teaching and/or assessing GCSE Computer Science.
• Active practitioner in their subject area.
• Be able to represent Pearson Edexcel professionally.
• Attend a training day with the chair of examiners.

Responsibilities

• Centre visits/Zoom/telephone support to guide new and existing centres through GCSE Computer Science.
• Provide guidance on centres’ endorsed titles and materials.
• Create teaching resources for the Pearson website as required.
• Attend stakeholder meetings/events as appropriate.
• Provide subject expertise and market information to inform product developments.
• Attend meetings with the senior team to advise on training materials and resources.
• Run online/twilight events for GCSE and A level.
• Engage with teacher groups on social media and act as a Pearson Edexcel voice.
