Job summary

Pearson Edexcel is seeking a credible specialist in Computing to support GCSE Computer Science qualifications. The role is ad-hoc (about 2 days per month) and open to UK-based candidates, ideally in the Gloucester area.

Responsibilities include centre visits, guidance on endorsed titles, creating teaching resources, and engaging with teacher groups to represent Pearson Edexcel. Candidates should have 3+ years’ teaching or assessment experience in GCSE CS, professional presentation, and readiness

Qualifications

• 3+ years' teaching or assessing GCSE Edexcel GCSE Computer Science.
• Active practitioner in their subject area.
• Be able to attend a training day with the chair of examiners to talk through materials and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Centre visits/Zoom/telephone support to guide centres through GCSE Computer Science qualifications.
• Provide guidance on endorsed title and materials.
• Create teaching resources for Pearson website as required.
• Attend stakeholder meetings/events and advise on training materials and resources.
• Run online events and engage with teacher groups to represent Pearson Edexcel.
