Job summary

Pearson is seeking a GCE Gujarati (2018 Specification) Examiner to mark candidates' responses remotely from home using ePEN, with some papers posted for traditional marking. The role requires strong subject knowledge and the ability to follow the pre-defined mark scheme to maintain standards.

Training occurs May–June and marking runs May–July. We welcome applicants with a degree, qualified teacher status (UK or overseas), and relevant assessment experience in the last five years.

Qualifications

• You will have a degree or equivalent.
• You will be a qualified teacher. UK or overseas qualifications accepted.
• Minimum 5 months part-time teaching experience within last 10 years, UK-based.
• Assessment experience with a recognised UK exam board within last 5 years is welcomed.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

Responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently.
• Submit samples to Team Leader at designated times.
• Ensure marking milestones are adhered to.
• Ensure all administration is completed as specified.
