Job summary

Pearson in the United Kingdom seeks an International GCSE History (2017 Specification) Examiner to mark candidates’ responses in accordance with the predefined mark scheme, with most marking done onscreen from home using ePEN.

A high level of subject knowledge is required to apply the mark scheme; each examiner receives an agreed allocation of scripts and must submit samples to the Team Leader at designated times. The marking period runs May to July, and training occurs May–June.

Qualifications

• One academic year of teaching experience within the last 8 years in the relevant qualification subject.
• A degree or equivalent is required.
• You will be a qualified teacher.

Responsibilities

• Mark accurately and consistently to maintain standards.
• Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
• Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
