FuturLab, the award-winning studio behind PowerWash Simulator and Velocity, is seeking a Game Designer to join our team in the UK. You will help shape concepts, set context, and balance rewards across levels, collaborating with specialists to achieve high gameplay standards.

This role suits a motivated problem solver with game design experience and a passion for unorthodox gameplay concepts. You will contribute from concept to playable content and iterate with feedback to deliver engaging

Qualifications

• Over a year employed as a game designer on at least one commercial game.
• Understanding and working knowledge of the Unity game engine.
• Ability to pursue creative ideas without being precious.
• Willingness to seek feedback from any source.
• Ability to iterate content to improve existing features and content.
• Excellent communication and teamwork during project development.

Responsibilities

• Write clear and concise game design documents.
• Participate in brainstorming, prototyping, tuning and level design.
• Iterate on game content and provide feedback to ensure the best player experience.
• Analyze and improve game mechanics based on playability and goals.
• Research, develop and design new game content and features.
• Ensure that games are engaging and fun.
