Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality OT services within community and home settings. The role involves working across CMHTs with a blended approach to working from home and at an office base, with CPD opportunities and regular supervision.

You will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with the OT team to meet patient goals and ensure effective healthcare

Qualifications

• Specialist Mental Health Occupational Therapist with Band 6 level.
• Ability to work autonomously in patients' homes and community settings.
• Experience with phone and video appointments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships to support recovery through assessment, goal setting, and planning.
• Delegate tasks to OT team members and monitor progress to develop skills and confidence.
• Engage flexibly with patients with complex mental health needs and provide supervision to junior staff.
