Job summary

Howden Group Holdings is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12 month fixed-term contract. The role is remote-first with monthly in-person meetings in Gloucester or London. You will build front-end solutions using C#, .NET, and Blazor, leveraging Azure, APIs, and serverless patterns.

You will join an agile team, contribute to roadmaps, and help raise engineering standards while mentoring peers. Strong emphasis on secure, scalable software, TDD, and collaborative delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience developing object-oriented software using C# and .NET with strong OO principles and SOLID.
• Experience building modern, scalable applications using Microsoft technologies, preferably Azure, Blazor, APIs and serverless patterns.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for CI/CD and delivery workflows.
• Commitment to high-quality, maintainable code, supported by TDD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end applications using Blazor and C# to create scalable, user-friendly solutions.
• Participate in regular agile sessions and collaborate with team members to deliver roadmaps.
• Influence best practices, drive CI/CD, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and help raise engineering standards.
