Job summary

Twinkl, a leading EdTech provider, is seeking an experienced Director of Product Design to drive a design‑led strategy across its product portfolio. You will scale a mature design function, establish DesignOps standards, champion accessibility, and mentor design leaders while partnering with executives to align design initiatives with growth.

Your role involves shaping the future of edtech experiences across learner apps, core website, and teacher tools, ensuring user value and scalable brand

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in UI/UX product design, with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership/management role.
• Desirable experience leading teams of UX researchers.
• Proven track record of scaling design organisations and delivering cross‑platform solutions.
• Portfolio or case studies showing strategic design leadership and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Scale a mature design culture with integrated, user‑centric practices across the global org.
• Define and execute the long‑term design and research vision aligned with business strategy.
• Establish DesignOps standards and drive systemic experience quality.
• Champion a unified enterprise design system in collaboration with Eng, Product and Brand.
• Partner with senior leaders to align design initiatives with company objectives.
• Recruit, structure, and scale a multi‑disciplinary design function.
