Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is seeking a qualified Fire Risk Assessor (Level 3) to join a long-term UK utilities programme across Scotland's Central Belt. You will carry out FRA across commercial and operation sites, producing clear reports and prioritized action plans.

Based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or nearby, this field-based role offers a salary of £30k–£45k plus a company car or car allowance, and a pension, with ongoing professional development and travel across sites in the Central Belt.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
• Hands-on experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
• Understanding of PAS 79.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate FRA reports.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable travelling regularly across the Central Belt.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across commercial and operational sites.
• Identifying fire hazards and evaluating risk.
• Working in line with PAS 79 methodology.
• Producing clear Fire Risk Assessment reports.
• Creating practical, prioritised action plans.
• Liaising with site managers, duty holders and contractors.
• Working within established QA and validation processes.
• Maintaining CPD and developing technical knowledge.
• Traveling to sites across Scotland's Central Belt, with occasional overnight stays.

Are you a qualified Fire Risk Assessor who has completed your Level 3 qualification and already gained some practical experience carrying out fire risk assessments?

You dont need to have spent 10 years in the industry for this one.

Were looking for Fire Risk Assessors to join a long-term UK utilities programme covering sites across Scotlands Central Belt. Youll be carrying out assessments predominantly across lower-risk operational environments, with the backing of experienced Senior and Principal Fire Risk Assessors.

It could be a particularly good next step if youve completed your Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification, have started building real-world FRA experience and now want a permanent role where you can develop further rather than being expected to know absolutely everything from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across commercial and operational sites

You do not need to be a Senior or Principal Fire Risk Assessor. Were interested in people who have the qualification, understand the fundamentals and have enough practical experience to start carrying out assessments while continuing to develop.
