Job summary

Spotted Zebra is seeking a part-time Financial Controller to join our UK team. You will report to the CEO, take ownership of accounts, cash flow and forecasting, and partner with an outsourced finance function.

The role emphasizes scalable processes, strong governance, and actionable financial insight to drive strategic decisions. You will work two days per week, ensuring timely month-ends, accurate reporting, and robust financial controls while supporting growth in a fast-paced, AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with hands-on SaaS finance experience.
• Experience in a growing technology or recurring-revenue business.
• Strong management accounting skills including month-end close and variance analysis.
• Ability to manage outsourced partner while owning output.
• Experience preparing board packs with clear narrative and charts.

Responsibilities

• Review our finance systems, controls and processes to reflect current scale.
• Own month-end timetable and coordinate with outsourced partner.
• Review monthly management accounts: revenue, costs, accruals, prepayments, deferred income.
• Resolve issues with stakeholders and maintain a clear action log.
• Maintain rolling cash-flow forecast and surface risks early.
• Lead annual budget and rolling re-forecast process with leaders.
• Model financial impact of hiring and key decisions for CEO.
• Prepare financial section of board pack with insights and measures.
• Oversee sales commissions and ensure accurate payments.
