Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations from a predominantly remote setup with occasional travel to Crewe. You will assist with purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations, payments, and month-end tasks within a collaborative finance team.

The role offers study support and development opportunities, with a salary of £30,000-£35,000 per annum. Based near Crewe, you should be able to travel to the Crewe office when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.
• Confident carrying out reconciliations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• AAT qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
• Manage the sales ledger, raise invoices and allocate payments.
• Conduct credit control and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end processes.
• Prepare payment runs.
• Assist with accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist the Director with reporting and ad hoc finance tasks.
