Job summary

UKIM is seeking a proactive Occupational Health Technician to join our growing team. This remote/field-based role involves regular travel to client sites and responsibilities across health surveillance, wellbeing assessments, and data management.

You will collaborate with Occupational Health Advisors and Physicians to deliver high-quality services nationwide. The ideal candidate has strong customer-facing experience, excellent communication, and readiness to travel, with a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Professional and confident client interactions.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health surveillance programmes across client sites (audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, health questionnaires).
• Conduct Tier 1 and Tier 2 HAVS assessments.
• Support identification and management of workplace health risks.
• Deliver health and wellbeing assessments (BP, height/weight, BMI, waist-to-hip).
• Maintain confidential occupational health records and documentation.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated and fit for purpose.
• Escalate clinical concerns when required.
• Build positive relationships with clients and employees.
• Travel to client sites and mobile screening facilities.
• Support service improvements and operational excellence.
