Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Process Safety Manager – Europe to lead process safety programs across European operations, ensuring compliance with Seveso III and other regulations. The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, and site leadership to mitigate major hazards and drive continuous improvement, with travel of approximately 35% to various sites.

The candidate brings extensive experience in PSM, risk assessment methodologies, MOC, and incident investigations, supporting capital projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of progressive process safety/EHS experience.
• Experience facilitating Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of Seveso III Directive and European process safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for process safety programs across European operations.
• Lead PHA/LOPA/Risk assessments and manage corrective actions.
• Oversee Management of Change processes and verify risk mitigations.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions across sites.
