Job summary

PSC Consulting is seeking a Consultant Engineer (Earthing & Lightning Protection) to join our specialist team delivering energy infrastructure projects across the UK, with a focus on South Wales and the South West England. The role blends office work with site-based engineering and requires 2–5 years of relevant experience in earthing, lightning protection or electrical safety studies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in earthing and lightning protection or electrical safety studies.
• Background in earthing, HV infrastructure, substations or power systems engineering.
• Experience with earthing system design principles and associated standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct earthing studies for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Design and analyse earthing systems.
• Perform site investigations and surveys.
• Carry out soil resistivity testing and field data collection.
• Perform electrical safety assessments and prepare technical reports.
• Produce client deliverables and recommendations.
