Job summary

X4 Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Drupal Developer to maintain and enhance an existing public-facing digital platform for a Government/public sector client. This hands-on contract covers Drupal development, live service support, security maintenance and accessibility improvements.

You will collaborate with UX, content and accessibility specialists to improve the user experience while keeping the platform secure, stable and reliable.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on Drupal development in live production environments.
• Strong PHP development skills, including custom Drupal modules, themes and templates.
• Experience managing Drupal upgrades, security patches, regression testing and deployments.
• Experience with secure development practices, web security and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and managing technical backlogs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance an existing Drupal CMS, including modules, themes, templates, and front-end functionality.
• Manage Drupal core and contributed module updates, security patches and releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative measures.
• Develop accessible, maintainable code using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and third‑party integrations.
