Sporty Group is seeking an experienced Database Reliability Engineer to own and evolve our global database stack. You will design highly available architectures, tune performance, and implement robust backup and DR strategies across multiple regions.

You will build automation tools in Go and Python to streamline operations, monitor health, and drive reliability. Remote-first team with opportunities to research and adopt new technologies in a fast-growing environment.

Competenze

• 4+ years experience tackling and managing advanced MySQL and MongoDB problems.
• Self-driven Database Reliability Engineer with production-scale experience.
• Strong understanding of high availability, security, and performance best practices.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available database architectures across regions.
• Improve existing infrastructure with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and DR procedures.
• Develop automation tools using Go/Python to streamline DB operations and reduce errors.
• Monitor DB health, set alerting based on SLO burn rates, and lead deployments.
• Provide DB design consults to dev teams and ensure data security.
