Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Data Solution Architect to lead technical discovery for HMRC One Income Tax Service (OneITS). You will assess data sources, define current/future state architectures, and collaborate with policy, security and ops teams to inform Alpha investment decisions.

The role involves architecture patterns for data acquisition, storage, and consumption, identification of risks, and ensuring alignment with HMRC and Capgemini strategies. Remote/mostly remote with monthly travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale public sector or enterprise programs.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience designing data acquisition, management and interoperability solutions.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, and governance for sensitive data.
• Ability to produce architecture artefacts and option appraisals.
• Excellent communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery of data sources and assess suitability and integration feasibility.
• Define current and future state architectures for data acquisition, storage and consumption.
• Identify risks, assumptions, constraints for data pre-population capabilities.
• Collaborate with policy, security, legal and operations to incorporate considerations.
• Support evidence-based recommendations for future Alpha investment decisions.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior HMRC and Capgemini stakeholders.
