Job summary

VodafoneThree in the United Kingdom is seeking a Specialist Engineer - Data to deliver and support secure, high‑performing network services from a remote/homebased setup. You’ll work with Cisco LAN/WLAN, manage incidents, and collaborate with project teams while maintaining SLAs and safety standards.

The role requires SC clearance or the ability to obtain it, with occasional travel to customer sites in the Midlands and South of the UK, and a proactive approach to risk, cost, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies.
• Strong understanding Cisco Voice Technologies.
• Experience configuring networks in a managed data-networking environment, ideally coupled with a networking qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assure/ Incident Management of Cisco Managed LAN and WLAN
• Management of day-to-day project and provide activities
• Achieve agreed performance levels in line with business targets, customer requirements and functional SLA’s
• Escalate issues and potential delays through Line Management channels in accordance with standard procedures to ensure that SLA’s are not breached
• Maintenance of site documentation
• Liaise with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Service Desk and High Care Delivery colleagues on a day to day basis
• Attend and repair customer faults within agreed timescales
• Role is predominantly remote based, however there will be the requirement to travel to customer sites in and around the Midlands and South of the UK on an adhoc basis, whilst also working on a standby rota
